Ilya Tours and Safaris Ltd is the leading tour operator in the region of Tanga.

Tanga is located on the North East of Tanzania, close to the Mombasa border to Kenya and just a short flight from Zanzibar, Pemba and Dar Es Salaam.

We arrange everything from wildlife safaris to various parks in Tanzania (Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake manyara, Arusha National Park, Mikumi and Saadani)Kilimanjaro climbings, beach holidays (Pangani, Tanga, Bagamoyo, Zanzibar, Pemba and Kenya), We are trying to develop more ecotourism with most of our cooperation hotels and partners being dedicated to preserve the environment and natural resources as well as supporting the local people in the areas by buying local food products as much as possible. Many of our tours benefits the local community directly and our ecotours consist of both day trips as well as several day tours and trekkings by foot our by bikes. (Trekking and bird watching in East and West Usambaras (Lushoto area), guided tours to Amani Rain forest, day trips to cultural heritage sites in Tanga town by bikes, trips to a Maasai village where you can stay overnight at one of their "bomas" and help them with their daily activities around their settlement. 

 The trips will be designed to fit all types of travelers, whether you are on a backpacker holiday, or you wish to have more comfort and luxury on your trip.

Ilya Tours head office is situated at Ocean Breeze hotel in Tanga city centre close to all the banks and the biggeste supermarket and vegetable and meat market. It is only a short taxi trip from Tanga airport, the harbour and Tanga bus station.
